Data Types Overview

The "Data Types" section of the XForms module allows you to create and manage various data types which will later be available to use in creating your forms' fields.

The specific data types supported include:

• String (Character) Data Types (ID, Language, Name, etc.): All string data types are derived from the string data type itself.
• Date and Time Data Types
• Numeric Data Types: All numeric data types are derived from the decimal data type.
• XForm Data Types (List)

And as the XForms model supports XML Schema data types, the XForms processor is able to check the data entered into all fields for correct input values.\

List of Available Data Types:

When accessing the "Data Types" section, you will first be presented with the "List of Available Datatypes," where you can view all of the data types currently available in your system for you to use when creating fields.

Here, you will also have the opportunity to modify and delete the existing data types, as well as create new customized data types, by simply clicking on the appropriate icon ( , , or respectively).
